Hello friend, Last week my lifestyle shifted. I went from working from home to living in another city and staying in a hotel room 4 days a week. And with that shift came so much anxietyBefore starting my new job, my mind was full of questions Not the noble kind: “How will I make a strong first impression?” Mine were more like:
As you can see, so much food noise occupying my mind. And underneath this one very real fear: the fear of being hungry... I have experienced hunger many times in my life, and for me hunger has never felt like a friend. I hate being hungry. But here is the reality:Once I settled into hotel life, food logistics became easier than I can imagine. I had plenty of choices, and healthy options were right there. Strangely enough, food stopped occupying space in my mind. My stress didn’t come from food at all, it came from somewhere else:
Food for thoughtI got curious and imagined a little conversation with hunger. Hunger: Roubaaaaa, don’t make me hungry! Me: why? Hunger: I hate being ignored! Me: Ok ok. What do you need? Hunger: Food. Every four hours. Me: Noted. Thanks for telling me Hunger: Thanks for listening. Your turnWhat would your conversation with hunger look like? I’d love to hear your reflections. Just hit reply and share your thoughts with me, I read and respond to every message. With care Rouba PS: You'd be surprised how many of us carry this quiet fear of hunger. This journey of finding peace with food is often through learning how to reconnect to your body. I have created a special meditation just for this which you can access as part of this guide |

It began with shoulder and back pain that kept getting louder. At first, there was denial. This is nothing. It will pass. But...
Dear friends, You may have noticed I’ve been quiet lately. The past few months were intense: a two-month consulting project, 12 two-day workshops, 250 people, and a return to the corporate world after seven years as a solo entrepreneur. It was everything I was craving: connection, challenge, immersion, and the energy of a team. But my body… my body felt like it was screaming. Sleepless nights, racing thoughts, back and shoulder pain, constipation. My nervous system was running overtime. I...
Hello Reader, Sometimes life hits all at once: messy, overwhelming, unavoidable Last week, i snapped at my mom. She hanged up on me. And I was left sitting there, heart pounding and eyes burning, feeling everything at once. Moments like these used to send me straight to food, to quiet the pain inside. But that quick relief comes at a cost: guilt, shame, indigestion, heaviness… And that voice whispering: “I did it again.” The shift that changed everything The next day, while commuting from...
